Nazanin uses CBT to help clients recognize and reframe unhelpful thought patterns that may contribute to emotional distress. She also integrates Trauma-Informed Care into her work, recognizing the significant effects that trauma can have on an individual’s mental, emotional, and physical well-being. Throughout the therapeutic process, she emphasizes safety, trust, choice, empowerment, and collaboration.

Counselling Philosophy and Areas of Focus

Nazanin believes that every individual has the capacity for growth, healing, and meaningful change. She is committed to creating a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental environment where clients feel comfortable exploring their experiences, challenges, and emotions at their own pace.

Nazanin views therapy as a collaborative journey in which each client brings a unique personal history, set of strengths, cultural background, and system of values. Together, she and her clients establish goals that reflect their individual needs and aspirations. She supports individuals experiencing anxiety disorders, depression and other mood-related concerns, trauma and post-traumatic stress, life transitions, and adjustment challenges. She also works with clients seeking support with stress management, coping skills, self-esteem, self-confidence, and emotional regulation.

Drawing from evidence-based approaches, Nazanin tailors her interventions to each client’s needs while respecting their identity, lived experiences, and personal circumstances. When working with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, or low self-esteem, she may help them identify and reframe unhelpful thought patterns while developing healthier coping strategies. When supporting individuals affected by trauma or post-traumatic stress, she prioritizes emotional and physical safety and allows clients to process their experiences at a pace that feels comfortable and manageable.

Nazanin also helps clients navigate significant life transitions and adjustment difficulties by strengthening resilience, improving emotional regulation, and developing practical stress-management skills. She approaches her work with compassion and genuine curiosity, honouring both the challenges and resilience that clients bring to therapy. Her goal is to foster a trusting therapeutic relationship in which difficult emotions can be expressed, new perspectives can emerge, and clients can develop greater confidence in their ability to manage life’s challenges.

At the core of Nazanin’s philosophy is the belief that healing is not about erasing pain, but about helping clients develop the tools, insight, and self-awareness needed to move forward with greater confidence, balance, and emotional well-being
